There is no better shopping experience, in my opinion, than a farmers market.
I never want to rush out of a farmers market like I do in a supermarket. I want to stroll about, and mingle and sit on the grass. Children can run, ride their bikes, and climb trees, without being told off. My skin can bask under the sunshine rather than be blasted with artificial light. I can see, and even converse with the same faces behind my favourite produce every week, until we begin to know each other by name. I know where the food has been grown. What season it is.
This is how life used to be. Back to the basics. Close to our roots.
Here's a video I made highlighting my favourite markets in North London, the area I live in. I love them not only for the produce they sell, but because of their surrounding areas. Most are located right next to green spaces, parks and woodlands, so the day isn't just about shopping, but about spending time outside in nature too.
