It’s not just the way your children laugh or the little quirks that make them who they are—you may also want to remember the feeling of the home you’ve created: how it smells, sounds, and moves as it changes over time.
As a London family photographer, I offer relaxed at-home family photoshoots that capture these fleeting, everyday moments often overlooked. These images let you look back and remember not just what you looked like, but how it felt to be there together.
At home, everyone is naturally off guard. It’s the perfect space for families to play, experiment, and laugh until they’re out of breath, allowing personalities to unfold naturally. Even the most camera-shy families often find themselves fully relaxed and present by the end of the session.
At Home Family Photography: What to Expect
My at-home photography sessions are the longest I offer, designed to capture your family’s life as it really is—lived-in, relaxed, and natural. This isn’t about standing in a corner and posing for the camera. Think of it more like documentary family photography, where moments unfold at their own pace.
Having worked in television, I’ve learned that magic doesn’t happen on demand. A half-hour documentary could take months to feel right—and your home session is similar. We take our time, letting real moments happen naturally. Some families start by making hot chocolate, breakfast, or just easing into the morning. Children show me their treasures—rocks, toys, or artwork—and all these details become part of the story we capture.
How the Session Flows

Bedrooms and personal spaces: Children’s rooms, favorite toys, bedtime rituals—everything that makes your home uniquely yours.

Garden or backyard: Play football, explore bugs, or simply enjoy fresh air. Whatever your children love, we include it.

Local outings: A walk to the park, farmers’ market, or dog walk adds variety and more candid memories.

Afternoon routines: Board games, pillow fights, or quiet family moments. We aim to use all the spaces you love in ways that feel authentic.
I also film highlights throughout the day, so in addition to a beautiful album of photographs, you’ll have a cinematic highlight reel capturing movement, laughter, and the little things that smartphones miss or only capture in tiny clips. This strikes an artful balance between hours of raw footage dad's used to make on JVC's in the 90's, and the rushed smartphone fever of today's world.
Every session is unique. Your day might include Lego, trains, football, or arts and crafts—it’s all about what your family enjoys. By the end of the session, you’ll forget I’m there, and what’s left is a collection of real, intimate family memories captured across your home and surroundings. If you ever move home, this is the first keep-sake you'll be taking.
